NAGAR ALO FOUNDATION believes in bottom up approach and working hand in hand with people through their direct participation, with a special emphasis on the watsan condition of slum people, Dalit and minority rights, women and hard core poor of urban slums and rural villages by helping them to be conscious about socio-economic and political situation and the realize the values, dignity of each and every individual and help them take action of non violence as well as profitable activities for their health and socio-economic development. To increase awareness and capabilities of Bangladeshi slum based community by providing need and right based services and supports like; mobilization activities for increasing community participation, lobby and advocacy, networking, development of community organization, skill development training for urban and rural poor family children on different trades like computer office application, computer graphics, computer software, AutoCAD, tailoring, industrial sewing, embroidery, electrical house wiring, awareness raising, non-formal and formal education, promote gender equality, children and women rights and empowerment, prevention of violence against women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, and other diseases, prevention of women and child trafficking, prevention of early child marriage, ensure environmental sustainability & agro-economic development, micro-credit, etc.
